Car Shipping Costs

International Vehicle shipping costs are based on many varying factors, a) Fuel increases, b) Currency strengths and weaknesses, c) Volume of traffic and d) Frequency of traffic. Many shipping lines do offer very attractive rates due to the volume of returning traffic that they may have, so it is always best to have an up to date quotation. Our rates are valid for 30 days only. We will always honour the quotation within the 30 day period. Costs are generally based on the volume, this being length, width and height of the vehicle.

For a standard saloon vehicle, international shipping costs to Australia (Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne) will be on average £985. Car shipping costs to USA can be as low as £850 (based on a small car) such as a mini or even a motorcycle. Shipping to Limassol in Cyprus costs from £515 for a standard saloon car and takes approx. 2 weeks quay to quay from Southampton or 3 weeks from Bristol.

The larger the vehicle the more expensive it will become to ship for example a 4 x 4 will cost approximately £250 to £300 more than a saloon vehicle, as the height of the vehicle becomes the major cost factor, it is usually based on anything over 1.60 mtrs.

We can arrange collection from anywhere in the UK by either Car Transporters or a Fully Insured Plate Drivers, it is more cost-effective to use the plate driver and collection can normally be made within 48 hours of receiving your booking form. All you need is a current MOT certificate. A typical collection from London to Southampton will cost on average £135.00. You will need to ensure that there is enough fuel in the vehicle for the delivery to the port.

If you are arranging to drop your own vehicle off at the port to save costs, you will need to have paperwork sent to you first. We will arrange for all the necessary Customs and Dock Gate Passes to be posted to you prior to delivery. Failure to have paperwork will result in your vehicle being refused entry at the port.

Typically, car shipping quotations are priced up to arrival port only, it is your responsibility to pay for customs clearance, port handling fees, duties and taxes upon arrival. Unfortunately due to our economic climate, the international shipping lines will frequently adjust their shipping costs i.e. Fuel increases and/or currency fluctuations without notice.

Your quotation is valid for 30 days.
